#113. Transfer and painted porcelain button of a young girl in blue cap and uniform, set in metal. Similar to a button discussed in an article written by Carole Adrian for NBB March 2018, page 42 titled "The Mystery of the Girl in the Blue Cap." The painting of the girl in her uniform and parade cap represents her affiliation with one of the male German fraternal societies at the time. Women were allowed to dress in same uniforms but not allowed to participate in the fraternity saber dueling. We are including a print out of the NBB article with the button. Note wear. NBS Large (2 1/8” corner to corner)
