#245. Japanese Kutani button of a realistic flower. Kutani ceramics are hand painted by Japanese artists from the Kaga region of Ishikawa Prefecture. They are characterized by the heavy brilliance of the Classic 5 colors style known as Gosai-de includes green, blue, purple, yellow, and red that are applied to the bold and daring lines. Late 19th c. - early 20th c. Sometimes grouped with Arita porcelain. NBS Medium (1”)
