#26. Lovely older Satsuma button of a basket of flowers “Hanakago.” This button can be found in “Satsuma Buttons and Buckles” by Nishida and Allen p 46 (top right). Satsuma are ceramics hand painted by Japanese artists for export. Late 19th c. - early 20th c. Baskets are hard-to-find in Satsuma buttons. NBS Large (1 5/8”)
