#291. Rare blue tingue glass button. In “Clear and Colored Glass Buttons” by Howells and Chrowl p. 42. Tingues are constructed with a layer of clear colorless glass with a very thin colored glass sheet overlay on top cemented to a glass base with a thin sheet of reflective gold foil or leaf between them. The buttons are faceted to improve reflection. NBS Small (7/16”)
