#372. RARE tinted Livery triple crest mourning button. Includes a bird holding a shield, an eagle head with an “X" over it, and a cross with a fleur-de-lys canting symbol of the 6th son. After the lord of the house died, the livery buttons were tinted for the period of a year while mourning. The buttons were usually discarded instead of removing the tint. NBS medium (1 1/8")
